Dear Friends of Salamander: |
June 28, 2007 |
|
After two brilliantly successful staged readings, the decision has been made! Marvin Lifschitz’ FREUDIAN SLIPS, a hilarious tribute to one of the greatest minds of the last century, must receive a full staging.
The readings at the 45th St. Theatre and the Abingdon Theatre were immensely helpful. Marvin has recrafted the play in stunning fashion and I can honestly say that we at Salamander haven’t been this excited about a script since our inaugural production of Eugene O’Neill’s THE STRAW in 1989. Can the Father of Psychoanalysis be saved by a single session on the couch? Can your neurosis be stated in six words or less? Will you help us by contributing today? We need to raise an additional $20,000 to produce FREUDIAN SLIPS with full production values, in a 99-seat theatre under the Actor’s Equity Showcase Code. We’re hoping to go up in the fall, but we can’t do it without your help. For the love of great theatre. For the analyst you never thanked. For your own sanity. Please send your tax-deductible contribution to us today! Your time is up. See you in the fall. |

Joel Leffert |
